This furrower does work on Champion reverse tine tillers. But there are some things you need to do right like put the rear guard in the up position so the furrower will actually furrow the dirt properly. Also the soil should be tilled before trying to furrow because it will work much easier.Also i bought a quick release pin so i can take mine on and off in seconds without tools. I bought the pin at a local hardware store for about $6. The hole is metric and the pin is not so the fit is a little loose. So i added a washer that engages the lock ball in the pin tighter so it dont fall out while tilling.It digs nice deep furrows and i am happy with it.

It was a kind of a pain to install but believe that was more of a tiller issue. It is much easier with two people. One to tilt and rock the tiller while the other lines up the holes and inserts the pin.Once installed it did great!!

I have an older Troy Bilt tiller without the anti-kickback mechanism to attach this to, but a reviewer for the exact same furrower from another distributor said it would bolt up to my Horse model. It does. However, because it does not use any of the adapters, it is a bit too far forward and not as low as it should be. Dirt piles up between it and the depth bar and it does not go quite as deep as I would have preferred. My Troy Bilt Horse is a model that has a PTO output that drives the tiller section.I have a really old Troy Bilt and it would never fit that one. That one is all one solid unit. I don't use that one anymore so it doesn't matter. However, the two distributors of this furrow on Amazon need to make that clear in their description. Furthermore, there is no section in the instructions that came with the furrower that shows how to attach ito my model Horse tiller.The problem with the furrower not going as deep could have been rectified if they had three holes on the part that the actual furrower center blade attaches to with the two bolts. You then could simply reposition which two holes you wanted to use. As for the distance back from the tiller, they should make an adapter that would put the furrower further back from the tiller depth bar.This tool will not work if the soil is not already tilled. I tried it. Not going to happen. I also did not like the furrow it made with the wings on. It was too wide and not very deep. I took the wings off and it was acceptable. Not as good as I had hoped, but doable. Also, you cannot use this furrower without the blades engaged, even if the soil is already tilled. I tried it.I purchased this one instead of the other one offered on Amazon because it was less expensive and looked identical to the popular one that was more expensive. It is identical to it. It is well made too in regards to the material.So... it is not perfect, but it works good enough. With a better adapter for my tiller, to lower the blade and push it further back, it probably would have done much better. It will take some of the work out of digging furrows for potatoes, but I do not see this thing being used for hilling them. I guess I could always see if I could replace the depth bar holder on the tiller to upgrade to the anti-kickback one, but that will probably cost twice what this thing cost.One of the pictures shows the furrower on my tiller. The other pic shows two furrows it made with the wings off.

The metal feels flimsy, and the parts don’t fit properly on my rear tine tiller. I had trouble adjusting the wings and couldn’t get it to work as intended.

I bought this for a 1982 Troy-Bilt Horse tiller. Once I figures out which adapters I needed, and how to bolt it on, It worked great. For this tiller, I did not even need any adapters. There was a mounting hole that was covered in dirt that I did not see. I would suggest that the ground gets tilled up first without the furrow. I found that it was much easier to set in the furrows after tilling.
