Newhouse Electric Metal Strut Channel measures 1-5/8 inches wide x 1-5/8 inches tall x 12 gauge thick. Our standard half-slot steel U-channels are hardy for supporting and framing lightweight structural loads on your construction site. You can get maximum support and framing with minimum pieces and labor.
MULTI-PURPOSE STRUT BRACKET
You can use it for many applications like pipe, conduit, ceiling grids, racks, duct and cable tray supports, trapeze supports, seismic bracing, and other general framing uses. Our channel struts have smooth surfaces, free from steel scales. They have an electro-galvanized zinc finish that helps reinforce strength and resist corrosion. This strut channel track is very sturdy and properly sized. It is better quality than the price would suggest. We used it, channeled into in an outdoor lifting crane for our barn and it works perfectly!

installed this a rear upper strut bar and it works better than i expected worth the buy

The quality seems to be good but about 1/4th of this strut is not the advertised size because when using a hoist trolley, it will only roll through about 3/4ths of the strut and gets stuck and will not move. This is part of a Christmas gift so if it ends up working out I can adjust my review a little but it's still disappointing that it's not true to size for the entire length.
