There is not a way to turn it off. Every time the strings are touched the sound is on. It would be better with a off button. However, it worked well for what I needed. Looks very real.

This toy violin should be at Dollar store and cost 1 dollar. This toy makes no sound and is made of terrible quality. The bow has one string and the actual strings on the violin unwind as soon as you touch them. My product was sent in a torn dented box that was obviously used.

My son was disappointed that is did not come with a bow! Otherwise a good toy. Pretty sturdy and beautiful to look at compared to other play instruments. Just felt mislead by some of the pictures.

Ordered by mistake, it was a cheap toy violin. Went to return it and it charged me $7 for a box I didn’t need! You won’t get your full refund. Don’t make the same mistake as me! Make sure you want a cheap violin toy that your kid will only play with once or twice that you can’t get your full refund on if you order this item.

My kids have a great time with it, but it reeeeeally needs a volume button. AND an on/off button Or just lower the volume altogether. This thing is unreasonably loud and the only way to turn it off is to take a battery out.

This product was terrible. The strings didn't work, the bow didn't work, the thing would play notes what you touched it, and that notes aren't even good sound quality! It says 16 inches IL but it really is just 14 inches.
