I recently purchased the 16.5V 40VA Burglar Alarm Systems and Doorbell Transformer, and I couldn't be happier!Installation was a breeze, and it seamlessly integrated with my existing security system. The transformer provides a stable 16.5VAC output, ensuring my alarm and doorbell function flawlessly. I appreciate the quality craftsmanship and reliability it offers, especially knowing it’s compatible with various devices. This transformer has truly enhanced my home security setup. If you're looking for a dependable power source for your alarm system, I highly recommend this product! It's worth every star!

It replaced a honeywell OEM unit with a broken tab. The honeywell was still working but somehow the tab broke and managed to fall out. This unit works as intended.

This is the perfect replacement part for an older security system. The power supply on my 15 year old security system was intermittently not charging the battery. Installing this power supply was easy. Two wires attach to screws on the power supply. Price is reasonable, give it try if your system is setting low battery code.

It works great. There is a tab on the top that makes it difficult to share an outlet with another plug.

Installed this item about a week ago, to power my new Ring doorbell and mechanical doorbell chimes. It worked for about a week - very disappointing. Contacted Amazon Customer Service for a refund. I looked for options, found a comparable Bosch transformer. Unfortunately, it was ALSO made in China.

And it worked like a dream, no more low power issue! Solved all the issues we were having with powering both the mechanical chime and Pro2. DO IT! Plug and play!

It's a better replacement that what I originally had for my security panel. Even the original ac adapter said 16.5v and measured at around 18ish, this new one reads just about the same, so I'm inclined to say its NOT a defect and within normal range. At any rate, my system is back to normal. I would buy again and recommend. Just make sure you're placing this in a closer or somewhere that the buzzing noise won't drive you crazy.

My Google Nest Gen 2 wired doorbell lacks a built-in battery, so it shuts off during power outages. It's a perfect replacement for the original builder-installed doorbell on the main panel. My plan was to connect it to a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) for backup, but the plastic top casing interfered with optimizing space on my power bar. I resolved this by cutting the hard plastic with a hacksaw. Since the doorbell uses AC power, the polarity of the wires (you may have black, white, or red) doesn't matter. You simply connect one wire to the 0V terminal and the other to the 16.5V terminal—either way works. I also connected the green ground wire to the middle terminal and connect it to a proper ground point, such as a copper water pipe or the ground terminal of a 120V AC outlet. For a secure connection, I recommend using automotive spade or ring terminals. As for the doorbell wiring, I used Southwire 18/2 FAS/LVT solid copper wire. The ground wire is 14 AWG T90 (used in Canada) it's a bit overkilled but that's what I have. Note that T90 is equivalent to THHN/THWN stranded copper in the U.S.Let's talk about the product. The transformer is very solid, it is well made. I tested with voltmeter before connecting to my doorbell. It works flawlessly with my Google Nest Gen 2 which is also connected to the builder-installed mechanical doorbell. For safety, I always double check any electrical product I buy online. This product claims to be UL listed with number E508012 and this can be found on UL online database. This product model PS-AC1640 is listed and article is associated with ShenZhen MingYuanTong Electronic Co Ltd. But how does this tie to the brand "wu yelin"? That part I am not sure... maybe it's a white label brand to sell it on Amazon. Hope this helps.

Transformer worked well, would have been rated a 5 but the first transformer they shipped had a stripped screw. It was replaced quickly by Amazon.
