Once mixed and painted, it goes on yellow and dries green. However, once properly cured in the sun, the product becomes a light to mid blue and after adding hydrogen peroxide, it becomes a dark blue. It is very tricky to use and time correctly using the sun as UV, but you it works and you get a lot of the solution if you’re doing a small project.

This was so much fun, and it worked as advertised! It’s added a new dimension to my photography and decorating!

Wish I would have read other reviews of this product. This product is obviously contaminated and the chemical reaction is immediate. Changes to dark blue and does not expose correctly. Waste of money. Experienced with cyanotype, this product sucks.

I loved doing cyanotype prints when I was young and I want to try to do a shirt with it I was little confused by the packaging when I received it that the chemicals are dry and you need to add water to the bottles and let them sit ( which I think is great they cant leak during shipping) I read some other reviews that says you have to buy additional chemicals to use it do they mean "water" to mix and "hydrogen peroxide" to help develop the prints not sure what they mean cause the chemicals of the kit are dry in the bottles u mix with water then wait then u mix the 2 parts together paint on your substrate in a dark room let dry them to use you place items on the project and set in the direct sun for a while (best to do a test first to get the time right) and the rinse with water and hydrogen peroxide until the water is clear let dry there are a lot of videos on utube on how to do it

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of art everyone could make with this kit. I painted watercolor paper before an event and stored them in a box and the picture pretty with 20 minutes sun exposure

So I wanted to try cyanotype printing for some time now. This kit was super easy to use. I made some contact prints with negatives I made using my AL-Vista 3B Swing lens panoramic camera. Just add RO or distilled water.
