I remember having one of these as a kid and I've always wanted one. The price was right and this beautiful Christmas decoration added a lot of life and nostalgia to our home this year. Easy to assemble and works great. You can actually just run it on 4 candles instead of 6 so you don't go through so many candles.

This is honestly a work of art that I have seen sell for hundreds of dollars as just a one story piece in a gallery. When you light the candles at the base, it creates faint air flow, that propels the propeller above it, and the entire piece turns! It is a Christmas sculptural piece of art. The piece itself is easily five stars, but I did knock off a star because, if you give this as a gift, which it would be a wonderful one, you'll want to send it to yourself first.The box looks like a Wal-Mart toy item with cheesy pictures and writing and cheapens it greatly from the artisanal piece that it is, plus, although it comes together in a few minutes, it has a few parts and it won't work unless you figure out that you need to glue a plug at the base on because it won't spin without it.That is very simple, but I would totally put this together myself and present it with the candles in the base that are not included. That makes it appear as though it is a gallery gift. Not a Wal-Mart item that the box portrays.It was handmade somewhere and it honestly a beautiful piece that I am sure our kids will hand down to their kids one day after we are gone and I think kids will grow up watching this spin every year in wonderment.I would however, never display it under a tree as the description dictates. It only works with candles and lit candles under a wood piece under a tree is an absolute disaster waiting to happen. Tree needles fall as do ornaments, and as do whole Christmas trees at time. All are flammable. Which would lead to setting the entire home ablaze.

My grandmother had a little version of this with Angels when I was growing up that I absolutely loved. I can’t tell you how much I love the one I bought! And two for the price of one?! Amazing!It’s March and I still have it up!
