This 1708 Biaxle fiberglass takes about 0.5 gallons of resin to saturate.The 1708 is backed by a 3/4 oz Chopped Strand Mat on one side for bonding. Biax contains double bias (17 oz) cloth stitched at +/-45 degrees along with one layer of 3/4 oz mat Used where high strength and fast build-up are necessary and ideal for repairs, tabbing and reinforcing Mat in this fabric is stitched and fully compatible with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins

Used it on a 1974 Crosby Sea Sled. It’s like a Whaler. Cut the floor open, carved out the wet foam and used this glass to reinforce to bottom before refoaming it again.

Fabric was creased so could only use small sections of it had to go to west marine to get some in a roll to finish the job

It’s all Biaxial these days worked great 3 in 1 oil and some gauze pads!
