I recently ordered this concrete hole saw kit due to some damage we had on our property from the explosive windstorms we had here in the Northeast increasingly high winds cause several trees on the county owned land to fall and crush our gate on the driveway the posts that are anchored in the concrete were bent and needed to be replaced in order to do that I would have to remove all of the Belgian block granite Stone that the posts were originally through and the cost to have the Masons do this was through the roof this kid let me use the biggest hole saw to drill down through the cobblestone which was anchored in the footing and then reconcrete in a new fence post 6 inches in front of the old existing Fence post although I haven't used the other smaller hole saws my need was only for the largest 110 mm which is almost 4 in my fence post was two and a half which afforded me plenty of room to pour concrete into the hole and secure my new fence post this whole saw kit comes with the pilot bit the extension that fits into my rotary hammer drill and the cup bit to drill through once I got through the Belgian block and the concrete footing beneath it I simply reached down through the hole and excavated some of the soil to give me a little more depth the easiest part of the entire process was how well the whole socket worked effortlessly chewed its way to the block concrete it into the apron of my driveway now knowing how well it works I intend to add railings to the steps in front of my house in the same method using one of the smaller hole saws drilling down through the block and brick in my stairs and concreting in railing posts if it wasn't for this whole socket I really don't know what my options would have been other than the absorbitantly high cost of having a contractor tear out all of the existing concrete and blocks to put in one fence post . At the cost of less than6500 dollars I was capable of replacing the fence post myself confidently and efficiently. I found the carbide cutting teeth on the hole saw that I used are in as good a shape as when I began the pit is as good as shape as it was when I began and all in all the quality control and material quality on this kit were amazing the fact that it comes in a blow molding case all with its own compartments for each individual piece to sit in just makes it that much easier to use all I really had to do was run an extension cord out and carry out one hand this kit and the other hand my rotary hammer drill and I was done in less than 30 minutes the only thing I did have to do was it would cut down to the depth of the hole saw and then I had to reach in with a hammer and chisel and pop the blank out and then pull that out with a screwdriver wedged in the hole from the pilot bitt I can see me using this in many locations of my home including the slab in my house the concrete porch in the back where my barbecue is located and my workshop I would definitely recommend this concrete hole saw which incidentally also goes through brick cinder block the storm it is a all-inclusive well made concrete hole saw kit that comes in its own storage carry case.

These perform very well and for a fraction of the price of the big name brands. Case may not hold up over time as a few parts were dislodged during shipping.

This concrete hole saw kit comes with everything you need for most jobs! Easy to use, quality made, durable, and a great value. Heavy duty metal, and a nice assortment of attachments make drilling a breeze. Glad I came across this.

I’ll start by saying that I’ve never used a name brand hole saw for comparison to the performance of this drill set. So I’m going purely by my experience with this set as first time user of a concrete hole saw. A single name brand drills cost 3x the price of this set so there are possibly some cost cutting in materials for this set which would cause poor performance. But basically I used the 110mm bit. After spending about 40 minutes drilling on and off to let it cool, I’d only gotten about 1/2†into the concrete. I’d expected much better performance. I ended up using a 3/16†bit and drilling holes all around in the drill groove. This sped the drilling up considerably. I was able to finally get through the 4†slab. It’s possible that because I was trying to drill through a 50 year old concrete it could be harder to drill. This was just not an acceptable performance and I decided to return these.

Well not just like that, I wish, but was much easier with this set to drill thru a concrete block footing. This tool made that part of the job super quick, clean and the easiest part of the job. Block, pavers and i'd think brick and the like are nothing for this set. It's so much nicer to have a clean saw hole to run a pipe thru than brute force messes. This set is one of those tools which pays for itself in one use and you can't argue with that value. It will last a long time for my purposes which is mostly going through block. I do have one hole to go thru a 3-4 inch slab and will update after that. Comes with shanks for sds plus or max.Only thing i'd note is if you intend to go thru a slab watch out for rebar, use a metal detector or you'll find some diamond teeth missing probably.

This set is rugged and comes with everything you need. I had to make a series of holes in my patio for some electrical work and this set worked perfectly for what I had to deal with. I really appreciated just how thought out the set is as it comes with everything that you need to get going and drill some holes in concrete. Each of the bits are built as strong as they come and with my project, they did exactly what I needed them to do. You can easily buy much more expensive bits but in the end all you need is the job done and this will do it for you.
