My order arrived a day earlier than expected...great news for me when I need them for my students! And for the price, the are perfect! The carrying case that they are enclosed in was better than I expected.... I just assumed the tools would be boxed or wrapped in plastic bags, but the felt roll-up case is so nice! Love it!

I ordered these as a stop gap for my art classes. We were doing scratch art but we could not yet spend our state teacher money so this had to come out of my own pocket. I ordered these because they were cheap and the number was enough to round out a class set. I had a few where the metal nibs came out of the handle during use. It was no big deal to put them back in place, but it illustrates that these are cheaply made. The metal nib was good enough to do the scratching on professional scratch art paper as well as our homemade scratch art paper. We didn't really use the wooden sticks but it is nice that they included them. The end of the plastic handle is angled so I found some kids using the tip of the handle as a scratching tool also. I still have these and will use them this semester, also. I'll just instruct the kids to be gentle and to pop the nib back in if it falls out (may superglue them this time).

They dull too quickly... but perhaps it's me. I'm a lefty so it's likely that they are made for lefties like me?

Very impressed with the added brush and nicely made storage case. The scratch pens were used for an art project for a visiting rural school of 12 pupils, who had just returned to in-school classes. It was difficult to find a seller offering more than 2 or 3 pens, so this was perfect and the kids aged K-6 th grade loved using them...and didn’t poke each other with them!

As a scratchboard artist, I was looking for a bill pack of tools to use for teaching a workshop on the art form. I don’t know how the quality will hold up yet, but should be good for my needs.

Teaching scratch art to high school for 38 years. Could not get my usual scratch blades in time for our project. Went with this item instead. Blades were awful; too small, not honed enough and not shaped correctly. I couldn't even work with them.. Worst results ever!
