The most common radiator cap on American cars, isn't as deep as what they have manufactured. Because of the spring length you cannot get the cat to latch down on the radiator. He needs to be about half the length that it is so that it would be similar to a radiator cap that you would buy.

This kit is awesome. It has just about every adapter for any radiator that you would want to pressure test. The best thing is it's all in one kit no looking around for different adapters. It works great and is a very nice price for such a large set.
