After removing all the parts from the original cylinder, I found that the Leather washer was too thick and once I coated it with power steering fluid it got thicker and would not seat correctly inside the cylinder bore. Also, the inside diameter of the copper washer was too small and would not fit either so I was never able to finish the job and wound up having to buy a new cylinder. Obviously this kit is not a 1 size fits all and the company that supplies them (Corvette Central) should investigate and correct the problem.
