I was afraid to lick envelops and I was using my finger with water next to what I wanted to seal. So I thought I would try this product and it works great. If you need to seal a lot of envelopes this is a must.

These are great to use but do require a learning curve before you know how to use them. Once you figure out the trick they work great. My complaints would be that sometimes you do get too much fluid coming out, so you have to dry it up. The other concern I have is with how the sponge starts to shed after a few uses.

In order to get sufficient moisture to the envelope glue, you have to squeeze the bottle, which invariably causes too much water into the sponge portion which wets the envelope. The sponge then drips making for a wet mess. It takes too much of a perfect squeeze touch to consider this product reliable.

I purchased these so I did not have to lick envelopes anymore. I was using a lot of tape with sealing envelopes that came with bills in the mail. Now I can save on tape and just seal with these. Not sure how long one will last but it is probably better than having to buy tape all the time.
