Overall good product, the only issue I’ve had is the rubber piece sometimes falling off the lid, but it can be easily put back.

There's nothing wrong with the unit I got. The seal is good, construction is good, etc. These are pretty much a necessity for oil painting, in one form or another.BUT, and this is important, this item will not fit in a Masterson 12x16 inch palette and seal closed without taking off the clip on the bottom. It's like 1/8th of an inch too tall, so I snapped the clip off from the base and it just fits.

The rubber gaskets do not provide effective seal. They leak and the gaskets fall into the container as soon as you put the lid on. Gaskets are too small. Don't recommend!
