This appears to be the perfect replacement for my HOA required mailbox. It is exactly like the flag that was broken. However, there are no directions for installation. I cannot get it to install and Stay put while being able to raise/lower the flag. Stymied. Grateful that my son easily installed it. Now, we will see if the Plastic button holding it to the mailbox will last. A metal button would make more sense.

Easy enough device to install for replacing a broken mailbox flag. The numbers are tiny, however, and only suited for the front of the mailbox.

Our old mailbox flag finally just broke. I had it Jerry rigged but it was kind of a pain. This new flag is like a breath of fresh air. I did have to drill a hole for the stop post but it was easy and not a hassle. Now I don’t have to worry about the mailman missing our letters because the wind blew down the flag.

I didn't read the advert correctly and purchased a "replacement flag". I needed a glue mounted without the holes in the mailbox...

On the one hand, this is a very nice metal flag kit and it looks and functions great. On the other hand, this flag kit did not fit at all until I made several modifications. There were no instructions and despite it's simplicity, it was difficult to get this installed on my mailbox. I have a very common mailbox from one of the big big stores and a very similar box is shown in the ad. I had to drill a second hole for the mount and shorten the retaining pin. Also, the numbers are too small for any practical usage. They might as well have left them out of the kit and saved some money. I generously gave this 3 stars because I'm pretty handy and got it to work.
