It is designed to fit over an existing or new wood 4x4 (actual 3.5"x3.5") post, or can fit over many no-dig supports of similar dimensions. If your mailboxes are secured to any type of wood 4x4 configuration, you can modify it by cutting it to a straight up 42" height or less to accept The Handy Post 2. The Handy Post 2 is designed to accommodate two mailboxes of any size. The cross arm is 26" across and 5" wide and will accommodate up to 100lbs. This aesthetically pleasing, economical product will enhance any home, business or neighborhood property. The Handy Post 2 will add character to any setting. Good product, great if you need 2 mailboxes. Installs very easily over pressure-treated 4x4 lumber. If you set your post lumber in concrete, and measure your lumber post height to match the cross member this product, you will screw into your lumber and have a very sturdy setup.Photos are from springtime installation and a checkup in the fall--the post has endured 8 months with no visible degradation. One of the end caps arrived with a snapped plastic fin, so it did not fit snugly and has later vanished.Your mailbox(es) will screw directly into the plastic cross member. It has proven sturdy enough thus far.

The end caps kept falling off. I used silicone to seal them on, but they still look cheaply affixed.

Came with parts missing. Called and was told would get them mailed next day. Got them 7 days later. Impossible to reach someone to assist with instructions to attach mail boxes to post.
