I bought this for my husband, who is a carnivore and cooks steaks three or four times a week. I was so tired of having smoke in the house and cleaning up oil splashes. I got this electric burner so he could cook steaks outside without the hassle of starting up the BBQ and cleaning it afterward. OMG, we couldn't be happier! This electric burner is simply amazing. It gets hot—super hot, just like a grill—in no time, and it’s the easiest thing to clean. Just wipe it down! At first, my husband was skeptical, but by the third time he cooked a steak, he was recommending it to all our friends.

Heats fast and I love that it's portable. The only issue I had was the same I've had with other 2 burner hot plates. It seems like there's a safety feature that only allows the burners to get so hot combined. So I couldn't turn both to max at the same time. Only took off 1 start because this seems to be a common thing and is probably a safety feature, but need to keep in mind.
