I replaced my Hardinge HLV-BK lathe's round knobs with these. I drilled them deep into the plastic right through the threaded brass insert and re-threaded just in the Phenolic itself. I did this to have them sit much lower and out of the way. I added a small amount of epoxy inside the new threads as I installed them for strength and they turned out perfect for my application. I'm very happy with the handles and think they should outlast me.

This is one of those hard to find items for a piece of equipment that costs a lot more from the maker of the equipment. These saved me money and are actually better quality than the original handles they replaced.

Only one of these handles had the correct threaded insert of 3/8 16. The other was to small with a 5/16-18 insert. Had to return one of the handles for a replacement.
