Product did what its supposed to. down fall is that is smells like chemicals and cheap plastic. don't keep it indoors🤣

Simple device. The olive/barb insertion portion works fine. The frame is nylon, so be aware of possible issues with durability over time. But given the purpose of a home mechanic using this a few times per year, it should be good enough. I didn't use the cutter so I can't say if it will be up to the task of cutting but it looks sharp.

You don't need to buy a expensive tool to trim the brakes lines, unless you use it at a bike shop. It did the job perfect.

I just shortened both front and rear brake lines, and this tool worked great. Clean cut, easy to press in the barb. It's not a tool I will be using a lot, so it fit the budget. Probably not a tool for a bike shop that do this often, as it's aluminum screws in hard plastic.

Not sure how this can have so many positive reviews. I tried to use this tool and unfortunately it is completely useless to me. First and most importantly: I was unable to get an even remotely clean cut of my hydraulic brake hose. I tried multiple cuts which didn't even go through the entire 5mm hose. When I finally was able to cut through it was completely frayed.Secondly: The needle driver part of the tool is misaligned and I was unable to get it into the connector without putting pressure on it from the side.

Makes cutting and installing shimano brake hoses a much easier and neater task. Would highly recommend

For home use, or even light shop duty, this thing works perfect. Clean cuts, super easy to push the barb in. Used it last night to build up a frame with dura ace components and shimano hoses.

This works ok, it is a good value product, you need to make sure that you line up the clamp to hold the hose properly (it is not exact, there is play in it) and the barb insertion as well. My pin was slightly bent, but still worked if careful.
