I misread the dimensions on the product page-they are 4 1/2" tall but 4" wide when laid out flat. My original hinges are 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 so I had to return them. All hardware was included-screws for wood or metal and an allen wrench with pins to tighten up the spring

They were used to replace some existing ones of the same style which were worn out.They were on the back entrance of a hardware store and had been there for more than 40 years !Not it’s a restaurant and the door was askew causing the top to hit the jam.After finding these and installing them, problem solved !I was surprised at the precision.Far different than what you find at the local store.Thanks for affordable quality !!

One hinge was able to close the door and was easy to install. Get felt pads to reduce the slam. One was defective so I exchanged. So far so good. The stainless is nice but pricey.

I used these to replace the self-closing hinges on the pedestrian gates to our community. Easy replacement and they work great! - did this for about 1/3 the cost that our gate maintenance company wanted...!

Based on the completely wrong description, I ordered this thinking the dimensions were accurate. Not only did it waste my time, but now I have to waste even more time returning something that’s useless to me.

The Header and description say 4.5â€x4.5†but they are .5†too narrow to fit.Very frustrating to wait on a product that was not correct.

You can adjust the tension within the hinge to be either stronger to close or weaker to close. I started light, and changed them to max, and my steel exterior door would still not close on its own. So removed these and went with a different appearing standard stainless steel heavy duty hinge. For light doors these probably would work well, so I will keep them for future possible use. Can't plan to buy these again, though.
