I bought these for a toddler "busy board" activity and they are the perfect size and weight for that purpose. They're sturdy and large enough for our granddaughter's small fingers to manipulate. They came with the install screws - that made it super easy to install them. She loves her busy board.

When most people think about a hook and I lock you don't think of them my super strong or sturdy. However this one is very strong very sturdy. It's easy to install, just put in four screws with a screwdriver. It works very well and it leaves me feeling safe when using it.

Well designed, sturdy materials, good finish. My only complaint is that the screws provided are not stainless steel, and have begun to rust after only a couple months. I will replace them with SS screws eventually.

Even work indoors to keep a Mastiff out of kitty litter. Door stays open enough for the cat to come and go.

The hook is great quality and looks nice but the screws that come with this kit are pretty short. I did not trust them for long term retention on the hook side so used other screws I had that were twice as long (unfortunately silver rather than black finish)
