These are really great value, considering the quality. The wood is hard. I was able to put eye hooks in them with no problem. Very sturdy. They even come with their own little screwdriver.

I have NEVER, in 40 years of needlework, had such a FANTASTIC embroidery hoop! Not only did they arrive quickly, well packaged, with a little screwdriver if needed. Tonight I transferred from my poorly constructed bamboo hoop that never kept the fabric tight. I hand-tightened the hoop, and I cannot budge the fabric.I haven’t actually embroidered yet and will update if any issues though I don’t expect there will be any! A great price on well-crafted embroidery hoops...if you do any needle work, these are a must have!

These are a significant step up from the bamboo or plastic hoops common these days. The hold on the fabric is better, and so is the feel in hand. I purchased to replace a bamboo hoop the dog chewed that was intended to be a permanent mount for a project, and an very happy with the upgrade!

I purchased several of these hoops in a variety of sizes. The color of the wood and hardware is beautiful and durable. It came with a small screw driver to tighten however, I sometimes had a hard time getting it tight enough so the fabric wouldn’t slip when threading. Other than that, great value and would buy again.

Just lovely. Beautiful color, extremely smooth finish. I didn't realize they came with a screwdriver to manage the tension. Such a great thing for arthritic thumbs!
