Poultry Splint Instructions
Step 1: Wrap the chick's leg with a single layer of a gentle, self-adherent wrap. Make sure that the back toes are sticking out of the wrap (not caught up inside it).
Step 2: Apply and position the splint such that the back toe is sticking out of the opening in the back of the splint.
Step 3: After positioning the splint correctly, use more self-adhering adhesive wrap to secure everything in place. Bandages should be removed and replaced daily to allow adjustments for growth.

One of my girls got attacked by a hawk and was limping. I tried fashioning a splint out of medical tape and popsicle sticks, but knew it wasn't a longer-term solution. These splints came overnight. Unfortunately, our hen must have had some internal injury and passed away before we had a chance to try them out.The splints are bendable for a good fit and seem as if they would be easy to tape into place around a chicken's leg. The splints would obviously be much easier to keep clean than a popsicle version as well.

I bought these for my 6- 8 month old chicken that has nerve damage in her toes. Treated her for many months in the house. I tried really hard to get these on her but they wouldn't stay on. I didn't send them back so they're in my chicken first aid kit. They were worth a try but I probably should have sent them back but they are the best ones I've seen so far and better than what I have been able to make.

Has a rooster injure his foot and it didn’t stop him, but slowed him down. This product helped get him moving!!!

These are exactly what I expected. Well made, good shape and size. I suspect pretty easy to use, and good to have on hand if you have chickens. My chicken’s leg was not broken, thankfully. She was limping, but there are a lot of things that can cause that other than a break. So I didn’t actually use this item. Still glad to have it in my toolbox, though.

Doesn’t work or stay in place. They are heavy and do not stay in the shape or place you put them in.

Not hard! It's useless. May as well just use wrap. There's literally no point in this product. A splint is supposed to be hard and firm. Not flexible. This is false advertising
