Fireproof Pipe Wrap

make sure you burn the factory smell off before you close the windows and try to heat. it works great to keep from burning yourself on a hot pipe.

I live in an old apartment, and the manager doesn't let us do too much with the property, however we have been making it safer to live in. We wanted to shield some of the pipe fittings with insulation. I got this wrap which is nice, and thick. It also came with clasps to secure it on the pipes. Be sure to wear gloves when dealing with it. It works well for our tasks. I do not know how it will work if you use it on automotive equipment but I assume it also works well there.

the clamps are too small. so i used fire calking to glue it then i wrapped it with fire tape/ i made it work but what a pain in butt.

The product was ok it did the job but after having to go to Lowe’s Home Improvement Store to get new clamps that fit.

The product sheds black carbon like material on everything it touches. Using it leaves your hands and probably your clothes stained black.
