Microfiber is the way to go for mop heads. They don't shed and they're super absorbent.

One of my porcelain tile floors has a surface that shreds cotton mops and leaves horrible lint. This mop head fixed that problem.

These mop heads are ok but not great. They don’t absorb well and seem to run small after being wet.

These are quite different than the typical string mop heads. They work pretty well although the traction strips take a bit of getting used to giving you a little bit of a gritty feeling when you mop but are very effective with the cleaning process.
