I ran into a problem with a propane guage I had that did not mark cool or cold like this guage I just ordered. We were out camping, the temps were down into the 30's and 40's my old guage read that my tank was empty or close to it, so I was trying to conserve propane till I could make a run to refill. Upon removing my tank I noticed it was still quite heavy and still full. I have posted a pic of that guage for comparison and the new guage I just ordered. The temperature the day these photos were taken was in the 60's so you really don't see a difference. This is the same tank. However when the temps drop down again I will make a better comparison. I'm thinking I will see a significant difference.

No more running out of propane in the middle of grilling. The gauge is simple and effective. It has 3 scales to estimate how much propane is in the tank with different ambient temperatures, but you really only need to keep track of the yellow/red zone. Both sides of the gauge attach securely to the tank and hose.A minor inconvenience is that the scales are marked with black ink on dark green background and that combination is hard to see in low light.
