These filters work, but the amazing difference is the paper filter bags also included in this kit!The bag catches most everything, so I'm not sure if the filter was supposed to be used with it... But it does work with the bag around the outside on a larger capacity shop vac, and the filter in the middle. this way, the air is filtered first through the paper bag filter, then through the normal VF5000 paper filter.Suction is still very good when the filters are new. Not sure how that will be once the bag is partially filled with fine debris, but I could always remove the VF5000 to fill the bag, if necessary.

One thing I did not know is that these filters are washable. Clean the surface of built up dust, wash with soap, let dry thoroughly, nearly as good. If filter is dirty, vacuum will NOT let you continue. Sometimes you need a couple of extras

It is a direct OEM fit for the rigid shop vac that you can purchase at home depot the 2 pack filter is cheaper then buying in the store. The fit and quality is great so far very happy with our purchase
