The basement in the house I bought - had LED bulbs in the ceiling mounted porcelain fixtures. Purchased these twice (4) and got rid of the light bulbs and installed these instead: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XGBKDKZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1A game changer in the amount of light now!

Quality product, standard dimensions and work perfectly fine. Should last for years, since once screwed in, will probably stay in place for a long time. No negatives noticed. I would buy them again.

By Bill Marsano. These adapters are far from the old-style model, which resembled the old-time glass fuses used in fuse boxes before circuit breakers came along. You'd just screw them into a lamp base or similar fixture a d you could then stick a plug into them and voila! you had power. These function in the same way but are much improved. Though bulkier they are sturdier and the take three-prong plugs as well a two-prong. The price is right, too. I've used them successfully, for both temporary and permanent installations, in places where no wall socket was available, thus saving myself a lot of time and inconvenience.--Bill Marsano is a long-time DIYer.

Reasonable price, decent construction. I used these in my garage door openers to plug in externally-mounted bright LED shop lights. Great improvement.
