Ordered this to assist my 80 yr old Mother in law get in and out of my car as she needs a walker and has trouble getting in and out of the car. I ordered the 2 pack so my wife could have one too. Took them out of them out of the box and was disappointed to feel how light weight these are but figured I would try it. First, the hook end does NOT seat very well in to the latch of the door frame. 2nd, my Mother in law used this handle to hold while she turned out of the walker AND THE END SNAPPED OFF! She almost fell. The picture in the box shows an elderly man with his hand gripping it and makes it look like it’s a foot long! IT IS NOT. Gripping area is 5-6 inches at most and certainly can’t be used as an “Arm Restâ€. It might work as a seatbelt cutter and I would be afraid to use it as a window breaker if my life depended on it. Gave it one star for fast shipping. I’m just glad Mom in law wasn’t hurt when the end snapped off. I am not happy with this in any way and have processed a return

Loved the product and ordered it the day I was seeing it for the first time.For my husbandThe next day I was showing it to my patient whom I was transporting to PT. As he leaned on it to get up, the front black part came off and it appears the plastic inside has torn. It was the second time it was tried out.My husband is only 160 lbs.My patient is 220 lbs.so I guess there’s a weight maximumHowever the plastic that tore, does seem a bit weak and thin.Still love the gadget!

Good quality but I had to return it because my wife's right arm was in a cast and it didn't help getting out of the car.

Grandma has difficulty getting in the the suv. This gadget provides a handhold in the right position to support her getting in and out of vehicle. Small enough to fit in purse. Lightweight and easy to place on door jam.

We bought this for our 99 year old Grandmother (yes, 99 years old), and my husband put it in the door of the car and was showing her how to use it and it broke. So I wouldn’t recommend this at all, unfortunately.
