Does not lock in place as advertised. A stiff lockable rod is needed to push the lock on the awning when it is retracted in place. It makes the rod unusable. When you turn the rod it simply spins freely, there is no locking mechanism.

Pulled an object that was on a shelf weighing less than a pound and this is what happened. Did not try to lift the object, just pull it closer and the hook piece slid off. So many products on Amazon made in China are poor quality. I would gladly pay more for a quality product. I will try to solder it back on. Otherwise it goes back to Amazon's junk pile.Update: 10/6/24 Used 2 part epoxy J-B Weld to repair and so far it's holding up.

They don’t work very well in my opinion, after About the 10th time of using it it pushes in really easy now and so I can’t get the lever to flip with it. Also the slant on it doesn’t allow you to push on the lever

This is exactly what I needed to assist in getting the awing unrolled on my camper. It is super easy to store because it telescopes out when you need it to be longer.

Not a good product both of them broke the first time I tried to use them when pulling the awning out the slide outs on the rod, completely separated with very little effort
