The look better than I expected! Another review said the Crystal part plastic, but it seems like glass to me. It has just enough weight to it. I can’t speak to the longevity of these yet, since I just got them, but I’ve never broken a pull cord before!

Maybe I didn't read the description carefully enough, but the "crystal" on the end of the chain is actually made of plastic. Though it isn't immediately apparent to the eyes (they're hanging in a closet), once you grab the pull chain it's obvious they're made of plastic. They're just hanging in closets, though, so it's not that big of a deal for me.
