Use your brain and measure, unlike me. ;) They are pretty small blankets. They can cover a coffee or side table securely, maybe a narrow console, but not much else. I was hoping to use this for a narrow bookcase but scrapped that idea. Yet, they are thick enough for a move. Me, personally, I reinforce my corners and edges with cardboard and then cover them with a blanket and wrap them with plastic. I sometimes add foam on the corners again before the plastic, it depends. So it didn't have a problem with the blanket wearing through or not being enough protection.

The thickness was exactly as stated. I didn’t use them for moving items but for covering my sliding closet doors for recording audio as can be seen in the photo. It does a great job in keeping sound out.
