The metal check valve has a permanently engraved arrow to indicate the direction of fluid flow for installation assistance, and 4 barbs on each end to help sealing. I used this as part of a supply line from a remote under-sink dish soap reservoir hooked to a kitchen countertop soap dispenser. The check valve prevents the soap from draining away from the pump head, eliminating the need to frequently reprime the pump to work through the air gap in the supply line and restart the flow of soap. The backflow prevention works great. Good value especially considering the inclusion of 4 hose clamps.
