I chose this product to use untraditionally. My sons have metal loft beds that can hurt their feet when climbing. I went looking for a cheap option to help and found this very easy, comfortable, high quality product to help! The insulation that the foam provides makes it easy for my littles to climb. For the value and easy adhesion, I highly recommend!

Used this insulation for my heat pump lines. The material was easy to install over the pipes and secure with tape and ties.

A small section of piping from my A/C condenser to the house has worn out. I bought this to patch the small section. The foam is pre-cut so you can easily wrap it in the pipe without much problem. You can also cut it to fit your needs. The product would have been even better if it had adhesive inside. As you can see in the photo, the foam does show some tiny gaps in between because the section I am repairing is bent and not straight. It's possible to reduce the gaps by adding adhesive tapes to secure the foam.

For just over 2' of insulation foam it is just too much. Maybe for the pool use it would be more worthwhile but I feel it would not stay as uniform / together and so don't think it would be a great fit for that. The alternative to this for pipes (when you can't slip something over then end) is where they are split down the middle on one side. This probably has better coverage than that given the twist design, but if you get the foil wrapped version of the split I think that is the winner. Also easy to apply, gives foil for better insulation, the foil closes any gap from the split, and cheaper. This is about 40c an inch but the foil is 15c an inch. If you have a lot of pipe that pricing is going to add up quickly. I would not go the foam tape route, that will take quite a long time, provide less insulation, and probably be a lot less durable in the long run.
