The cap off of my name brand safety lock snapped off in less than 3 years. I nearly choked when I saw the price of its replacement, so, when I ran across this identical-looking safety lock at 1/8 of the price (on a per unit basis), I figured it was worth a try. The unit fits perfectly and operates the same as the prior OEM that just broke. There are 2 units in the package, so I have a spare. Even if I had to replace this unit every 6 months (which I highly doubt I will), I'd still end up paying less over the course of 3 years than if I had purchased just one OEM.

Usally always get the brand name because I thought they were a better product.I have my automatict pool cleaner hooked up on the side port and take it out while in the pool so I am opening and closing it a few time a day. and it never lasted or just lasted a year.We have only had these about a month or so and they it is woorking very well.Cost was a big thing for getting these I got a pack of four !!! For under the cost of the expensive ones,so even if it only last a year I have three more au under the cost of the other ones.

The pin for the door started rusting within 1 week of installing. I recommend finding another alternative.
