I've kept this mat in the rotation for a while (got a few artsy ones I like to swap in) and continue use because it is a decent product. Soft yet firm felt-like material that lays flat on a platter.The description is obscure; however I believe this is a polyester felt., and not made of vinyl. I've had zero issues with static, though dry weather hasn't happened yet. Just thinking to myself; synthetics are known to be more static-prone than natural fibers, so I wonder about any actual anti-static ability.

These are effective mats for vibration and some static protection. They are thin enough not cause a drastic difference in the angle of the stylus inn the record groove. I liked this mat. It will remain on my Dual 1229.
