This is a professional test and more reliable than hiring someone and I am sticking to this. I will tell you why. First I used this on June 25, 2024 and I will NEVER throw away the Bio Vac! Before I bought this, I had a flood on March 14, 2024 on 600 sf of laminate flooring that was left wet for 5 days because of my property manager and his friend who is certified IICRC in Water restoration and mold for 42 yrs. MEANT NOTHING. He knew that floor would grow mold, he risked my life and damaged the HVAC and more. His first reason was to leave it wet to put a claim in the insurance company to justify tearing out way more than a floor, walls both bathroom sinks and vanities one toilet and even the mirrors! A job that should have took 3 days turned into two months.On May 10 & 11 I took mold samples from petri dishes after I felt sick since March put it progressed,, even more when I opened 13 plastic bins from Lowes that contained all my belongings that I could not open until end of the two months. The air from inside the bins was air trapped during the water restoration and when all the initial mold spores were released. All the fabrics in the bins had held the same air since March and all that time, it was nauseating. and putrid. Now I was gassed out more. Within days I used the petri dishes two were air and one was visible mold from a swab from the books. There were 7 molds in total. I know it was real but it doesn't say how elevated there are no numbers. It said this is not to replace a professional test.In June I hired I hired a certified mold inspector, during this time I went to the doctor experiencing shortness of breath and other pains, and I had lab work 14 biomarkers for toxic mold. The mold inspector took two outdoor tests and two indoor tests. That money went down the drain. In just two days he sent a report as if it was good news he called. I have no mold inside. All was outside. I knew that was false because you could smell it and no way was the air cleaner outside When I question his test in an email he arrogantly answer, "I've been doing this for 25 yrs, this is a professional test."I replied, the man who did my floor had 42 years and caused mold. Years does not mean correct work. Years do not mean ethics, certifications do not guarantee ethics. I asked for my money back and said it was a bogus test. He said no. Then I asked if I could have permission to talk to the lab he used, he would not answer anymore. I went on his FB page, and I never seen anything like it. 80 % of all of his friends were relators and in some kind of home construction. I looked at who he followed, that means he sent a friend invite that wasn't answered, more than likely. ALL and I mean ALL were relators. He was trying to get in good with realtors. A professional test? I will tell a judge a certified mold inspector should come with a warning label: Beware of bias. I called a lot of places and found out that these professional know how to manipulate the test to show you do not have mold, such things is flipping the cassette upside down, or using too much air flow, or too little, not agitating the building and more that they know but would not say.So the only reason they say DYI tests are not professional is they assume consumers will tamper or do not know what they are doing and nothing more. There are instructions. This assumptions should go both ways and personally I think they should be made to not have to say, "this does not replace a professional test" because it can goes both ways. And IMO it is more unreliable for a stranger to test your air, they might want a job if you don't have mold or hide that you have mold because of bias if you just rent towards realtors.The petri dishes in May were closer to the time of the fumigating mold the putrid release of the mold spores. Two of the molds were found on my lab work as positive. The mold inspectors report did not match up to anything. So I bought GOT MOLD and I wish I would have bought this right away because it shows the elevations, how many mold spores and it showed exactly what I am poisoned with in the 14 biomarker test I had that came back just before the GOT MOLD test was emailed to me. The GOT MOLD test shows high elevation which supports everything, that it was flooded, that it got in the HVAC and in my system. In me.I would NEVER trust a mold inspector where I live they are all about money where I live. If anyone wants to use a professional go for but I would get this if I were you because you will know what's up. You can't trust strangers, no matter what their rep is, they kiss up to people as the one I had. He did not even offer to redo the test, or admit it was suspicious because he did it. After they get the big money he showed his horns, the disrespect for his customer, not even agreeing to let me speak to the lab. Which I needed approval per the lab as that was their client.So if you ever have to go to court there is a counter argument to "It's not a professional" What is not professional about it and what does professional mean? I would argue that in court and my medical records support it. Why isn't it a professional test it was made by people who know how mold tests work! That's how they invented it! That is every bit professional and more. I brought my cars to licensed shops and almost every time I was ripped off and left with something wrong. I was also personally injured by two people in the medical profession.Now when I move if I suspect mold I am doing this test, it's not optional, not for me. Corruption is rampant I don't want to trust a stranger and now I will always have proof as to why. I got very sick from mold, it started to attack my muscles and joints. I was very healthy and a runner. Mold is like a bioweapon.Like a flashlight, a batter jumper cable, and other this is something to have in your arsenal. A lot of people who are chronically sick do not realize it's from their building. I had a good vibe about this when I bought it and they even update when they receive it and when they will be testing. Thank goodness for honest people in the world, though they be few. And thank you, GOT MOLD, for creating this machine for the public. Thank you! (Oh, BTW the instructions are par none, they are the best I have ever seen, I am serous it's so thoughtful of them and ingenious. They walk you through you, and it was actually fun. :) I am going to tell my friends and family they should get one, believe it. God answered my prayers.

At $250 this feels pretty expensive, but it is a lab test that includes an air pump to take real air samples for testing, not like the petri dishes you can buy for mold testing that you just set out for an hour.So, before getting this I got some of those petri dish mold tests. Only the outdoor sample grew anything. I used them because they are cheaper and put them in different rooms to see which rooms to target with this more expensive test that only tests two indoor rooms.Using this is pretty easy, but you have to go to their website. I scanned the QR code and got partway started, but when I tried to use the QR code to get back in I got an error message saying that ID was taken, and I couldn't find any way to log in on the the website on mobile. I had to go to a computer web browser to find a manual log in page, where I used the password set up earlier and finished filling out the forms that you are required to fill out before you are allowed to send in the samples for testing,.Using the device is simple. You just take off (and keep) the stickers off a sample container and stick it on the air pump. A push of a button and the pump samples for a set amount of time. You are required to sample outdoors 5-10 feet from the main entrance, and then you can sample the number of rooms you paid for when you selected your options when buying this. Samples must be all taken with in one hour or they are invalid for reasons that are not explained.A pre-paid box and label is included. So getting the samples in to be tested is super easy.The test took about a week to get processed. The results were unexpected. The room I know has some sort of mold in it (because my N95s turn musty in a few days) came back as clean in the report, but the room I thought was dry and fine came back as water damaged. I thought I was very clear on the labeling but now I'm not so sure. Is the my labeling wrong and I got the rooms backwards? Or something else? Now I feel I need to retest to be sure which room is which, but that will be pretty expensive to do again.The lab report has impressive detail. I've attached a redacted version with all the results removed so you can see all the things they test for.

The product arrived right on time, and the instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. I'll use this product again if the need arises.

I attached the cassettes and sent them in and was told that there was no mold, which I know to not be true. So wound pulling samples a different way and submitting myself and sure enough, loads and loads of mold.Do yourself a favor and dont waste money on this. For this price you can buy a proper vacuum pump to use for many many things that works as it should and not one of these that couldnt take the air out of a swimming pool float much less pull enough volume to properly test a room.And cassettes are cheaper in bulk too. collosal waste of alot of money.

This mold testing kit is easy to use - the instructions are clear and it’s pretty simple! I highly recommend it.

It's pretty easy to get the test samples and send out. They really guide you through it and make it easy to do. I don't know what the results are as I'm still awaiting them but I will update this after I get the results.

This is a good quality, accurate mold detector. Good value for the money. Really like the design and the ease of use. It's fast so you don't have to wait too long for the results.
