This is a simple yet very effective upgrade to the steering on my 23+ year old Craftsman mower. Easy to turn with a few fingers or the palm of one hand. Definitely a recommended upgrade

John deere d105. Only problem, not enough space left under snap ring to add dust cap washer. Might try filing small bumps where washer sets, it doesn't need much. Always another way to keep debris out, it steers that easy. Positive they'll extend steering gear life

Got these due to a YT Video on how to make your rider steer easier. Wish I did this when it was NEW would have less parts replacements over the decade. Had to modify the Suspension SOME by cutting off the top of the kingpin hole. Was easy enough & turns easier now.

Wow, only a couple bucks and 20 mins time and my steering has greatly improved. What I really like is it takes a lot of wear off the terrible steering gear issues of John Deere tractors. The hard steering of these tractors put terrible strain on the steering gear and mating fan gear that fail constantly. This really reduces the wear. I expect to cut failure by at least triple the time. You can’t hurt anything putting them on and the factory has created a planned failure by not putting them on at the factory. Their cost might be only a dollar or two but they want to sell you expensive steering gears.

Installed on riding mower to reduce turning pressure. I didn't notice much difference on my mower.

Use them in conjunction with a rudder used on my fishing kayak. I've been using the kayak in saltwater for the last year and because these are stainless steel they hold up great! I do make sure I rinse them off but these are the best performing bearings I've ever used.

Not really much of a difference in effort needed after installing. But I have always kept spindles well greased anyhow before installing. Also the retainer snap rings would not go back on top of spindles.
