Great chains. While these would be great for a swingset, we use these in our chicken coop to elevate our food and water dispensers for our birds. They easily hold a 5 gallon bucket above ground.

I have used it for my porch swing. earlier I had ropes which would end up sagging frequently. This steel one helps keep it at the same height.

I didn't use this for a swing, I built a squirrel box for my mother's house where the city was going to take down a tree hitting power lines. Theres a few squirrel nests in that tree so we wanted to give them a place to live after the tree came down. I used these chains to hang my wooden squirrel bo in a river birch on my mom's property. Great little chain, I had measured previously so I was looking for something just this size. If it holds the box this well I'm sure it'll handle the standard swinging child. Nice connection mechanisms. Easy win all around. Theres also a nice soft part where the kid's hands would go, so also a bonus.

The listing clearly states “2†chains are included. However the photo APPEARS to show long AND short chains, all of which are needed for a porch swing. This is highly disappointing to me as now I have to return these and find the correct set!!!

I needed extra chain for a swing because the chain I received with the swing was not long enough. This worked perfectly to add the extra length I needed.
