These are daylight color CFLs meant to be used in a softbox. Just be sure to put them into a LARGE softbox because they'll overwhelm the filtering effect of a small one, and you'll end up with hot spots in your images.

Get what you spend. Original OEM light on the right burnt for 5 years. One on the left is Amazon aftermarket flickers then is fine. 2nd bulb is fine from switch on to switch off. Update to come. Will exchange the flickering light.As far as brightness it's a tad duller than my other light however not enough to matter or to care.

I had this lightbulb for less than 2 months. I used it once. And when I went to use it again, it wouldn't turn on. Upon unscrewing the bulb I noticed an electrical burn smell.

The lampshade I'm holding the lightbulb against is 9 inches high.I will be using the lightbulb in my painting room as it does not have any natural light. It's also a tiny room - 6 x11 ft.When I replaced the old bulb with the 85W Light Bulb 5500K CFL Daylight Spiral Softbox Bulb - it was like I blew the roof off the room on a bright sunny day.I'll let everyone know how many hours of use I get out of it before I have to replace it.

These maps work great in my studio softbox. Color temperature is great they have excellent CRI and my videos turn out looking very good. I have put probably 150 hours on them so far and no issues.
