By following simple instructions, using pre-ground espresso roast from a major grocery chain, a coffee scale to measure the precise amount of grounds, and tamping it based on recommendations, I’ve been able to consistently make great espresso shots with a rich crema that’s the perfect temperature to drink right away (see first two images). I even managed to make my wife a latte (if that’s what you call it) by steaming about ten ounces of whole milk and layering it with a double shot in a mug (third image). It’s not the prettiest, but it tasted amazing, and she loved it. I had to borrow a stainless steel pot to steam the milk, though. One thing I don’t like about this set is that it doesn’t include a milk steamer. I get why—it probably assumes people already have one or can get one, and it would raise the cost and take up space. But still, I drink it straight, while my wife prefers milk. Despite that, the espresso shots are perfect.

I am not a connoisseur type coffee drinker but I do love a good cup of latte every morning. We have a full fledge Breville auto espresso machine as well as a Gevi. I must say that this Gevi has a richer and cremier crema and easy to use for less than a quarter of the price.

This 20-bar espresso machine pulls rich, aromatic shots every time, and the steam wand whips up frothy milk for perfect lattes and cappuccinos. The 40 oz removable water tank is a convenient touch, and the sleek black design fits right into my kitchen. If you’re looking for a user-friendly machine that delivers a genuine café experience, this one’s a winner!

I'm happy with this espresso machine. Now I can make my own tasty espresso like a barista. The machine feels durable -- it has weight to it. It's functional and easy to use, not complicated. I also like that it can make thick froth. Also, I like the nice shape and design of this espresso machine -- it's got a nice metallic shine to it, giving it a futuristic design. The shape of the espresso machine is uniform, and I also like the rounded base and top, no sharp edges.

I was really enthusiastic about this espresso machine because it seemed to have many of the same features as the high-end models for a much lower pricepoint. It was a little intimidating at first because I had never made an espresso or latte at home.I read and followed the instructions to the letter and eagerly anticipated my first sip, which was flavorful. However, I noticed that the temperature of the espresso and the milk frother were not hot enough for me. Over the next several days, I tried again and got the same results. Then, I took the temperature of the just poured espresso and it was 135 (F) and the milk temp was 109 (F). Both well under their respective recommended average temps of 195 (F) for the espresso and 145 (F) for the milk.I called the manufacturer, which is Rowan Electric Appliance LLC, to troubleshoot the issue and they wouldn't give me the time of day. Instead they said to go through Amazon and return the item because there's no way to adjust the temperature, adding that many people complain about it! (Huh?) So, that's what I did.Feeling disappointed at the product and service. I'm not sure if I will go for the higher end machine or back to my regular coffee maker, which is a no-hassel-hot-cup-every-time experience. If I do, I will be sure it has a temperature control setting.
