I have these holding up a lot of pocket charts in the classroom. They have kids pulling on them a lot but they hold together well.

These definitely are a nice size diameter-wise. And the clip snaps closed well. I haven't tested them out on anything too crazy or heavy though -- just some kid note cards and for spare keys to keep them tidy in my drawer.I was a little disappointed in the thickness of these rings, however. As in it's too thick. I had hoped to put my kid's swim ribbons on these but the actual ring part is too thick for me to thread the eyelet of the ribbon through the ring. So while originally excited for the size of these rings I overlooked the fact that it may be a thicker material.I have found a few other uses for these so far, but unfortunately I wasn't completely happy just because my intended purpose was so specific.Also, one point of note: Since it's a hinge you can't flip the items 360 around the circle. I should have also thought of that before getting this, but the fact the hinge blocks the items from sliding may be a factor for your decisions. :: The product clearly shows the hinge, so my not thinking that one thru is entirely on me.

These are some sturdy, large, metal rings with many uses. The clasp works well and seems to hold together without being too difficult to unsnap. We got these to make ribbon streamers for our girls, and they work well for that and are easy for the kids to grab and swirl around. You could use these for so many things: holding keys, organizing flashcards, linking notebooks or presentations. Just keep in mind this 3" diameter is really big!

This 3†binder ring was exactly what I was looking for to keep individual sets of flashcards organized and neatly together! This came in a set of 20 rings. They are strong, durable, and stay securely clasped; but are still easy to open when needed.

I actually got these to experiment using them like a type of hinge on thing I was building and that didn't work very well. But the rings themselves are perfectly fine.
