When I saw my daughter's chest poked by a pin that her teacher gifted her for her reading performance, I decided to buy this product. It holds the pin just as well and has a closed back that prevents poking of the pin. Kept 5 to myself and gifted the rest to the class so that they can use it for other children in the class.

I replaced the fastener for my cherished Veteran's Badge as it was insecure. These backs are excellent and lock onto the pin. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to ensure they won't loose the badge.

Good item, but not on thick clothing or with short pin on badge. But very good value.
