I bought this water heater to warm up buckets of water at work. It is very easy to use. Just put it in the water and then plug it in. It creates enough heat that some bubbles come off of it. It is a great value. It does exactly what is says it will. It heated the water in this mop bucket from 58.5â°f to 91+â°f in 8 minutes. It felt pretty fast. The heating rod feels durable. I expect to use it a lot in the coming days. It functions great. It only requires being plugged in to work. It does continue to heat. I unplug it when the water is steaming at around 105â°f.

I overfilled the hot tub and shorted out the motherboard. While we waited for the overly expensive part, I was expected to make sure the water didn’t freeze. In February. In Pennsylvania. This worked better than expected! I did a 3 hour on/1 hour off schedule. The water was tepid within a day. Thanks for saving us from having a frozen hot tub!

When I gave up after first try, I unplugged and realized the outlet was very very hot so that’s scary. The tub was half filled with cold water from a day before, it was 63 degrees at the beginning and the same after 45 minutes. It was fully submerged. When I pulled it out I could grab the rod and it was just warm instead of hot. But the inner part was probably slightly hot.

This unit did exactly what the instructions and vendor say. It works quite well. I was able to heat water as instructed. The thermometer that comes with it us pretty accurate. In my case, I left it on too long and it failed - but NOT the fault of device - rather user error. The only drawback is that the unit does not have a way to set the max temp so if you leave it on too long, it will overheat and fail. But that is pretty clear from the instructions. So 4 stars for the functionality but would be 5 stars if it had a way to set the max temp of the water to be heated.

The heater went out on our spa in the middle of winter. The water temp was in the low 40s and we needed a quick temporary solution to keep it from freezing while we waited on service. This did the job amazingly. We plugged it in for the recommended max 3 hour limit a few times a day. Raised water temp a few degrees each time and it is a BIG spa (500 gallons). We placed it in a weighted 5 gal bucket to protect the spa shell and had no issues. This saved us from frozen plumbing repair costs and hauling pans of boiling water from the kitchen to dump in (that was NOT fun).

This product was a life saver post Hurricaine Helene. We had no water for 2 months and no power for a month. This product allowed for a 5 gallon bucket to be heated in 5 min for a make shift shower. All I needed was a submerged pump in the bucket

Got these just in time for the polar vortex arrival. No hot water in the barn. Will heat up 2-3 gallons in 7-8 minutes. 6 gallons in 15 minutes.
