Sent back. Product was installed as per instructions. Almost damaged my XLR which is 1 of 21. After sending back, it turns out that the company totally left out a VERY important part in the installation instructions. What a bunch of idiots! Another review also said that theirs didn’t work either.

This was by far the best wind restrictive panel I could find for my 2006 Cadillac XLR. It installed easily and the brackets keep it securely in place with no rattle or movement. It does block at least 50% of the back draft with the top down, and does reduce wind noise noticeably which makes conversation easier and improves stereo sound. The materials are thick and good quality. The laser etching looks good and is perfectly centered. It takes getting used too, when the top is up however, because the glass plus laser etching reflection catches my eye when I glance in my mirrors to change lanes. This fools me into thinking another vehicle is coming up in my blind spot because I'm not used to seeing anything there. If this becomes a nuisance, I'm pretty sure the panel can be removed easily in just a few minutes by simply taking off the brackets with the hex wrench provided and then sliding it out of it's holding bracket, but I haven't taken the time to do it yet. The holding bracket remains in place permanently because it's stuck by a 3M adhesive strip provided, but it looks good and blends in. Overall, this Windrestrictor really does noticeably improve the convertibles "top down" driving experience. I would give it a 5 star rating instead of a 4, but I think it's a bit expensive for what it is. I will add that their customer service department is excellent. They pro-actively contacted me to insure I had ordered the exact color brackets to match my model year interior. I in fact, had ordered the wrong ones, and they caught and corrected my mistake avoiding the time and hassle of a return. Overall, great product, reputable company!

I bought this direct from the manufacturer's website.The version I bought was the simple one, with no lighting or engraving.Before I installed the unit, I noticed the rubber pads on the hold down clamps where not installed in the same location on both clamps. After installation I see that one is so far misplaced, that it will not hold the Wind Deflector tight against the roll bar. And worse, the very hard heavy metal clamp has pretty sharp edges I'm sure would have cut into the cover on my roll bar over time.After having it installed for just 1 day, I noticed the very white double sided tape used to hold down the center attachment channel was sticking out from under the attachment channel. When I installed it in the morning it was completely under the center channel. I cleaned my car with the included alcohol pad before installing as per the installation sheet included with the unit.The tape was holding fast to my car, but it was not sticking to the channel itself. The glue seems to have degraded, I'm guessing this unit has been sitting in stock for some time and the glue has interacted with something in the covering of the channel. The glue holding some felt to the inside of the channel was sticky in the same way. When I pulled the Plexiglas out of the channel it had the glue from the felt on it.The clamps use countersunk screws, unfortunately the manufacturer did not take the thickness of the paint (powder coat?) they spray on the clamp and the screws into account so the screws do not sit flush in the countersunk pockets of the clamps.Over all I am disappointed with this product. While the Plexiglas is very clear, I'm afraid with all the problems with the clamping system that it may not stay on the car, or may rub through some part of my car over time.I have removed it and cleaned the glue from the double sided sticky tape off my car (not easy, it stuck to my car very well for only being on it 8 hours). These are all simple problems and mistakes. Maybe I am being to hard on it, I had expected a product that worked and installed with no issues though, and this unit had multiple problems.I would not buy another product from this company again.

I had mine for over 2 years and love it! These Windrestrictor are professionally designed for each car and the roll bar holding brackets look great on your ride, compared to some with the Velcro strap style! Nice selection to choose from or use your on design plus different lighting selection to choose from! It may cost a little more than some of the others, but remember you get what you pay for!
