Quality of flywheel appears to be very good. Dowel pin holes are extremely tight. The price was very reasonable

This a cast steel flywheel. not cast iron. Steel wears better than iron.It is not for drag racing, or over 7000 rpm. Very similiar to original VW material. EMPI says the flywheels are balanced. We're road racers and advise if you're building a competition engine to have the crank and flywheel balanced together. For street use, making this a replacement flywheel, pre-balanced is okay.
