the damper is pictured with the air deflector and it was not in the box with the damper ?

Although it took some work, I was glad to be able to fix the Frigidaire refrigerator when it was freezing everything due to the failed (stuck) air damper. However, this replacement unit only worked for a couple of months then failed as well. The water filter froze and cracked, and refrigerator food began freezing again. Then implemented a temporary solution by reducing the freezer temperature to level 6, reducing the refrigerator temperature to level 1, and putting a piece of tape over half of the air supply that comes from the freezer to the refrigerator. I think I will next take the damper out again and put some light oil lubrication on the damper shaft that seems to get stuck open.

Worked for 2 months then broke. It was great when it worked.
