Well packaged. Easy to hook up. My office is about 100 yards from my router. I'm getting consistent 100-200Mbps. Its awesome. Replaced my Google/Nest Wifi Mesh system that was only getting me 10-20 Mbps this far away. Highly suggest getting this if you need a boost in speed far away from the router.I have this set up as a repeat about 30 feet away from my router, outside ziptied to my deck. I haven't tried wiring it with ethernet off the modem, which I'm sure will increase the speed a ton.We get about 700Mbps at the modem, 450Mbps from the router and 100-200Mbps down a hill through the trees to my office about 100 yards away.Love this thing.

Luckily, I had a techy friend who was familiar with and strongly recommended this product! Wow! Was he was right. I was so surprised how well this WAVLINK Long-Range WiFi Repeater works. I have used several of these over the years and definitely this brand is the best one for coverage over our property. Installation is a breeze!If you're on the fence as to whether to buy this WAVLINK Repeater, I'd say, "It's awesome."

This extender is impressive with its long-range capabilities, making it perfect for my garage, yard, and even my RV. The dual-band functionality ensures that I have a strong and stable connection, which is essential for all my devices.Setting it up was relatively easy, and the waterproof design (IP67) gives me confidence that it can withstand the elements without any issues. The six 7dBi antennas provide excellent signal strength, allowing me to connect up to 256 devices seamlessly.The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of five is that the initial configuration took a bit longer than expected, but once it was set up, the performance has been stellar. Very good system works as advertised

Background: I got this unit because I live in an area with little to no cell phone coverage. I've got great WiFi in the house from a different mesh WiFi brand, but once I get 20-30 feet from the house, the WiFi is no longer usable.And this WAVLINK outdoor WiFi unit solves that problem - REALLY well. I walked 100 feet down my driveway and saw zero speed loss (running nearly 300mbps down on Starlink). I can't comment on speeds higher than that - but for the normal person, who just needs WiFi on your phone/laptop/tablet on your property, this will absolutely get the job done for very large outdoor areas.Setup is pretty straightforward, and it comes with pretty good instructions to walk you through it, but you can probably get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options you have with this unit. There are good video reviews on YouTube that can help you figure out the setup and options if you are struggling.The default is Access Point mode - which is what most people will probably use. Plug it into your current modem/router, give this WAVLINK unit a WiFi name and password, and enjoy a signal that goes REALLY far. It's super convenient that it uses Power Over Ethernet (PoE), which means just one cable to run to this unit for both the power and data. Don't worry if you've never used PoE before - this comes with everything you need to get started. The only extra thing you'll need is just a normal ethernet cable for whatever length this will be from your modem/WiFi router (I'd recommend getting an outdoor rated ethernet cable, but mine worked fine with just a run of the mill Cat6 cable).You can use this in a mesh WiFi setup, *if* you want to use other WAVLINK products. If you're like me, and already have a mesh WiFi from a different brand - well, you can't mesh up with two different brands (that's not WAVLINK's fault either - I've never seen a mesh WiFi unit that works with a different brand). All that means is that this WAVLINK unit will have a different WiFi network name and password for you to connect to. I tested this in real time gaming for hours, and never had a single lag spike that affected gaming. Very impressive!You can also use the internet from your current WiFi, as the connection for this WiFi node. However, you will probably notice slower speeds / higher latency, as your current WiFi will have to process everything going to and coming from this WiFi unit.I could keep going further into detail, but that covers most of the common use cases. The key with this unit is VERSATILITY! It can do all this - and more. If you don't have a mesh WiFi system yet, you could easily set a couple of these up on the outside of the house, and have great WiFi indoors AND outdoors! Sure, it's not cheap, but if you need large area coverage, this is a fantastic solution.

After several hours watching YouTube videos and reading the instructions I gave up and sent this back, because it is so complicated you need to be a NASA scientist to figure it out. I am ordering a much simpler plug and play Wi-Fi extender because I don't have 3000 hours to figure this one out 😬

I have been a user of Wavlink products for a while and they have generally done good by me without breaking the bank.This outdoor range extender/repeater is no exception.Starting at the unboxing experience this product represents quality - the AP is well packaged and comes with everything you need to get started.This device is PoE powered, however if that is not something you currently have setup, no problem as the kit includes a PoE injector/adapter as well as the required power supply cable and ethernet cable (youll only need to connect to the PoE injector from your main router).It being PoE powered means that this router can run off a single cable which is extremely nice, especially considering this is primarily an outdoor product.Speaking of the outdoors - this product is IP67 rated, which means you can rest assured that it will be okay even in thep resence of rain and dust and will function as expected even in unideal weather.The router comes with 6 antennas, 3 each for 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi bands and advertises a whopping range of 300m (though I have not verified this claim).This device can also be used (as the title of the product alludes to) in various different modes - AP/Router, repeater, AP/Repeater or mesh.In my personal experience this product has been great. I set it up in my garden as I do not have good coverage there and it has served that purpose really well - the speeds are basically as fast as they are inside my house but now I have full coverage in my garden and do not need to worry about the device shorting out due to rain.Overall, I think this is a great product with many usecases, both for individuals but also for larger businesses and venues. Wavlink did not disappoint!

We've always experienced poor Wi-Fi reception at our work's warehouse. The modem/router's Wi-Fi would only work consistently when standing close. Good luck with 20 metres!I received the WAVLINK repeater/access point today, and set it up as a repeater. I had to configure it as such, and accordingly, played around with it for about an hour. The time was primarily due to my ineptitude, but I got there, and it was worth it!The Wi-Fi reception is now excellent throughout the factory, and beyond, at both 5GHz and 2.4GHz. It connects at 5GHz all the time, everywhere. At 90 metres, the 5GHz reception has dropped one bar only!I didn't think the 5GHz band could receive anywhere near that range; it's impressive. At this location, the 2.4GHz band is redundant.I have mounted the repeater undercover. It is about 25- 30 metres from the modem to which it connects by Wi-Fi. The unit has a sufficient waterproof rating to be installed outdoors.The WAVLINK long-range Repeater/AP is an outstanding solution, where long-range Wi-Fi is a high priority. I am fortunate to be testing this product because I would have bought one if I had been aware of it previously.
