Excellent design for creating perfectly round ice balls. A good size to fit many glasses: just twist the top and the ice ball comes right out. Exactly what I needed for a product video: works very well and keeps drinks ice cold!!

Ice spheres made from these molds are comparatively small. Otherwise, worth for the money.

I am very happy with these ice molds. They consist of 2 pieces of different materials. The white bottom is a hard plastic material, similar to an ice cube tray. The blue top is a soft, flexible silicon rubber material. A fill-to line is provided on the bottom so that just the right amount of water can be added without worry of overflows when it freezes. To remove the ice from the mold after freezing, the trick is to warm the bottom slightly in a stream of running water. Then give the top a little twist and the cube will separate from the bottom of the mold but remain attached to the lid for transfer to a glass. The result is a nearly spherical ice cube roughly 2" in diameter. It's perfect for a whiskey or cocktail lover. Another nice feature is that the molds stack on top of one another, so they take up minimal space in the freezer. These molds work well and are a great deal for the price.

These are ok ice molds, but they do have a little bit of a learning curve, and they don't always work quite as you'd hope. The first few times I used these I had issues like the water spilling, incomplete spheres, the ice balls sticking, etc. I now seem to have a bit of a system down. You'll want to fill these to just below the top line to avoid spillages and if you're refilling them after having just taken ice out of them you need to make absolutely sure the air hole in the top is completely free of ice, or you're going to have a wet mess when you put the lid on (the hole helps to push air out as you push the lid down without spills). I wiggle the top around a few times before pulling it out, and usually the ice ball will stick to the lid instead of the chamber, then you can use the chamber to gently push the ball out of the lid. If it sticks on the chamber you'll need to run some water over the bottom of the mold to melt it just a bit so the ice will pop out. Also, sometimes the ice orbs will break, as shown in the photo with the green circles and arrow showing a wedge that broke out of the sphere and where it goes in the ice ball. Overall these molds are fine, once you get your system down, but they can be a little frustrating while you're figuring that system.

Great size ice spheres for drinks. Mine rarely come out as perfect spheres and won't come out clear unless you put in all the work you would for most any mold but my whiskey doesn't mind. They are a bit tough to free form the bottom shell, some banging on the counter is required so that might shorten the life if the frozen plastic cracks.

A nice design that saves space in your freezer.Ice balls are great for drinks like bourbon or vodka. One large ice ball is better to use then a few ice cubes. The large ice ball cools your drink while allowing less water to melt into your drink and dilute it.Most ice ball making trays make 4 or 6 ice balls at a time and take up a lot of space in your freezer. If you don't need that many ice balls at a time, it's wasting valuable freezer space. These solve that problem by allowing you to make only 1 ice ball at a time if that's all you need. The single ice ball molds are also stackable so they give you many options for how they can fit into your available freezer space.I love this design. It just makes them easier to use.The quality is excellent and I would expect these molds to have long lives.

These are two part molds, top and bottom. The top has a small hole in it, and you would think you could just fill that way, but no, you can't. If you try, the water just bounces out. So, I removed the top and filled. But it's not clear how high to fill it. There are some seamed lines, and I tried filling to the top line, and then putting the top on.Once it was frozen, I removed the top and tried to get the ice out. It was stuck. I could not get it out. I let it sit on the counter for a bit. Still stuck. Came back a bit later and it had melted enough to remove. While the sphere was nice on one side (the side that had been on the bottom) I must not have filled it up enough to get a smooth top. You have to fill to the top, then put the top on, and pour the excess out.Removing these from the mold was a struggle, so I probably won't use them often. Special occasions only for sure.

The design is user-friendly. Filling them is a breeze, and, unlike my previous set, these molds are more leak-proof. Less frustrating spills or messy countertops. The large round ice cube comes out of the mold easily. It isn't completely clear ice, but a large part of the ice is clear.
