Wow, this did not disappoint !First, while very long, it's easy to wield even at the very end of the handles, because the handles are made of a very light wood. (Probably bamboo.)And sharp, holy moley. It cuts inch-thick branches with just a little effort. Of course any blade might be sharp when new, then dull quickly, but this shear screams quality. I have no doubt it will last, and take many sharpening over the years.I wasn't sure if paying more for the one with the little bumper was worth it, but having used this shear now for a few days, I definitely recommend getting this particular model. - And the bumper is made as well as the rest of the shear. Just quality all around.

I've never used shears of this quality or style so my expectations were moderate. While I thought they were expensive it seemed worth a try based on the references I found. Once I started using them my first thought was "I should have bought these a long time ago". And, if needed, I would buy them again. Very sharp out of the box. These shears are comfortable use and the handle length seems very comfortable appropriate for my shrub trimming needs. Definitely recommended.

Gave my two boxwoods a good hair cut on Memorial day. This shear was light weight, worked great, I could feel its easy elegance when I pruned my shrubs.

The steel seems very good. Cuts effortlessly for most things. Cuts paper, felt, and lint balls they are so sharp. I used them to do a 30 foot hedge with lots of 1/4 inch shoots and they did not seem to lose any sharpness. This will probably be the last shears I'll ever buy.

The hubby only used it once and it’s all bent and the sheets don’t close all the way anymore. Water of money. The cheap ones last just as little as this one. I wanted to like it but it’s just not the quality I expected

I purchased this as a replacement for the shears that my dad had for over 10 + years. They are either exactly the same or very similar. They are great quality and we expect them to last just as long as the ones he had prior to this! Great for outside work and a lot of use!

An excellent product. Make sure you get the rubber stopper model!!! I wanted one pair of garden shears that didn't break each year. These have performed amazingly due to the build quality and sharpness. The ease of cutting is pretty unexpected!
