First it arrived fast and on time. First impression of the tamper is it’s heavy, that is why I weighed it before even unwrapping it, I was curious. It’s a pound even of solid heavy duty plastic. Only way I can describe the plastic type is it’s like the really good thick white commercial type cutting boards. The one I got is red, the pic was white but it makes no difference to us and it works as intended. I don’t see ever needing to replace it , it should last a lifetime unlike the hollow ones. The label says it’s made in Mexico, which if not American, it’s better than China.

Current for our grinder was wood. This was exact replacement.

Nice heavy duty made only its all round and it’s not for #22. It’s for #12 grinder.
